SNARM

SNARM is a progressive glam rock/arena rock band based out of Guwahati, Assam, India. Founded by guitarist Shihan Bhuyan and inspired by the melodic essence of late 70s & 80s rock and metal music, with a touch of progressive rock/metal , SNARM have been instrumental in creating a sound which has essentially led to the formation of India's first progressive glam rock band with a special emphasis on the image and theatrical presentation in their live performances and music videos. With blistering guitar solos, razor sharp edgy guitar riffs, tight thunderous drum beats, groovy melodic bass lines and soaring melodic vocals, SNARM comes out as a reincarnation of the golden era of rock n' roll but with a grand modern audio & visual production. 

As for the current lineup of SNARM, founder member SHIHAN BHUYAN, one of the most sought after rock musicians in the country since almost 3 decades by now serves as the sole guitarist handling both lead and rhythm guitar duties for the band along with being one of the two chief songwriters for the band along with TSOORAJ, the charismatic and enigmatic lead singer who serves as the sole lyricist along with being one half of the chief songwriting duo with Bhuyan,apart from being a music producer and a sound engineer too. The gorgeous and super energetic ARJU BEGUM serves as the drummer and the backbone of the rhythm section of the band along with being one of the very first lady drummers in the state altogether. As for the super tight low end and groovy bass lines that the band can proudly boast of, the young and technically proficient ANURAG GOGOI handles the bass duties along with being the chief producer of the band's music. Not to mention, Gogoi happens to be the first musician from India to endorse multiple audio plugins and Virtual Studio Technology (VST) softwares, from STL Tones to GetGood Drums(GGD) to Addictive Drums/Addictive Keys to Audio Assault and a lot more. 

             
Initially formed as "The Final Touch", SNARM's first proper lineup that released it's first ever recorded original single along with it's music video titled "Till the End" comprised of Nnipan Basumatary on vocals,Shihan Bhuyan on guitars & backing vocals, Himangshu on bass and Arju Begum on drums & backing vocals. Following the departure of Himangshu a couple of years later, Shihan's old friend and bassist Mrinal Manab joined in as the band's bass player. With this new lineup, SNARM recorded another single titled 'One More Lonely Night' which garnered even more commercial attention globally. Both the singles "Till the End" & "One More Lonely Night" have garnered commercial as well as critical acclaim both nationally and internationally with various reputed European and American rock radio stations featuring the singles on a repeated basis such as Rock Radio, Metal Devastation Radio to name a few and podcast shows such as The Zach Moonshine Show (in the top 3 rock singles globally). 

In 2023, SNARM became the first ever band from the Indian state of Assam to sign a multi album deal with Denmark based hard rock/melodic rock/metal record label Lions Pride Music. However, tensions arose within the band as vocalist Nnipan decided to leave the band to pursue his own musical interests. The band desperately had to look for a new vocalist to complete the recording contract and to complete the lineup once again which led to them finally being able to find a very suitable replacement in the form of Tsooraj as the lead vocalist and chief lyricist along with being a songwriting duo with Shihan Bhuyan. 

Now with a re-energized lineup, the band were about to enter the studio to start recording their first album but tragedy struck the band once again as the band's bass player Mrinal Manab in a very unusual turn of events decided to take his own life. This was a real shock to the band as well as to the entire music community of the nation. Things came to a halt for a while cause of that, but Snarm left no stone unturned and continued to start working on their album. And then, as fate would have it, SNARM found a really talented replacement in the form of Anurag Gogoi as their new bassist. Gogoi's addition to the lineup boosted the band's spirit to a new high and SNARM once again regained it's original form and began their album recording process in a rigorous manner throughout the second half of 2023. They completed recording their first full length album titled "Till the End" which also includes a re-recorded version of the song 'Till the End' dubbed in Tsooraj's voice by the end of December 2023. The album also will consist of a remastered version of their second previously released single 'One More Lonely Night' as a bonus track and it's music video will be re-released once again through Lions Pride Music this coming 14th of June 2024.

The album titled "TILL THE END" (consisting of 10 songs) is going to be released on the 29th of July 2024 through Lions Pride Music and they will be releasing 2 official music videos for 2 of the singles viz. "SOMEDAY SOMEWHERE" & "NO RAIN CAN WASH AWAY" from the album prior to the release of the full album. Another music video of one more song from the album is scheduled to be released post the release of the album.
